Earlier this month, Canadian producer Kaytranada fused elements of hip-hop, house, and funk on his excellent full-length debut, 99.9%. Now, the beatsmith’s used that same genre-bending mastery to flip Rihanna’s “Kiss It Better” from a sultry, slow-burning ballad into something that blazes a little faster, hotter. Also, not unlike his own material, this remix isn’t afraid to flirt with the psychedelic, as the ANTI original is swarmed by tumbling beats and woozy, looped vocals.
