Since My Morning Jacket returned to the road last week, each of their shows have included a tribute to Prince in the form of a few covers. During their headlining gig New Orleans Jazz Fest on Friday evening, they broke out “Purple Rain” (above) and “Sign O’ the Times”. They’ve been mixing those two songs plus “Raspberry Beret” into their recent gigs’ setlists, performing all three in a row to close out their tour-opening concert at Oklahoma City’s The Criterion last Wednesday. Check out footage of that triumphant tribute trilogy below.

MMJ aren’t the only ones to use Jazz Fest to pay tribute to the passing of the Purple One. The weekend prior, Janelle Monaé dedicated her entire set to her mentor and friend, performing “Take Me With You” and “Let’s Go Crazy”.
