Justin Timberlake is one grumpy troll in the first trailer for Trolls — watch

Timberlake and Anna Kendrick embark on a vibrant adventure to save their community in this animated film

Back in May, Justin Timberlake returned with summer’s hit single “Can’t Stop the Feeling“. The catchy song is featured on the upcoming DreamWorks animated film Trolls, which stars Timberlake alongside Anna Kendrick. Today the film shared its first official trailer, which, of course, features JT’s track.

In contrast to the overwhelmingly bubbly song, Timberlake’s troll persona — Branch — is far less spritely. But when a a vicious creature known as a Bergen attacks the troll community leaving few behind, Branch must team up with Poppy (Anna Kendrick), leader of the trolls and brimming with pep, to save the day.

The film, which was inspired by the popular toy trolls, was brought to life by the creators of Shrek — a team already familiar with mythical cave-dwellers. The film also stars the voices of Russell Brand, James Corden, Kunal Nayyar, Ron Funches, Icona Pop, and Gwen Stefani (with this cast, there clearly will be some singing going on).

Trolls hits theaters November 4th. View the trailer above.
