Lil Wayne’s private plane was forced to make two separate emergency landings on Monday after the 33-year-old rapper suffered a pair of seizures.
TMZ reports that Wayne was flying from Milwaukee to California when the initial seizure occurred. The plane made an emergency landing in Omaha, but Wayne reportedly refused medical attention.
Wayne suffered a second seizure shortly after take off, leading to a second emergency landing in Omaha. Paramedics subsequently took him to a local hospital, TMZ adds.
Update – June 13th at 10:30 p.m. CT: A representative told FADER that Wayne is “in stable condition and good spirits. He thanks his fans for their everlasting support, prayers and well wishes.”
Update – June 16th at 9:00 a.m. CT: Wayne took the stage at E3 Wednesday night for his first performance since suffering the seizures.
In 2013, Wayne was hospitalized after suffering a series of seizures. He spent nearly a week in intensive care, and at one point was in a medically induced coma. He later revealed that he was epileptic and prone to seizures.
