The Strokes cover The Clash’s “Clampdown” at Governors Ball — watch

Julian Casablancas and co. also dust off "Red Light" for the first time in six years

The Strokes kept the surprises coming as the rolled into Randall’s Island Park to kick off Governors Ball Music Festival on Friday night. In addition to songs from their surprise new EP, Future Present Past, the band’s setlist included a cover of The Clash’s “Clampdown”. While not the first time Julian Casablancas and Co. have covered the London Calling classic, they hadn’t done so since 2004.

Also during Governors Ball, The Strokes performed First Impressions of Earth’s “Red Light” for the first time in six years.
