Daniel Radcliffe has been a precocious boy wizard, a paranormally powered murder suspect, and a remarkably useful corpse. In his latest feature, the actor steps into a role that’s far less fantastical and far more frightening than any of his past parts: neo-Nazi.
In Imperium, Radcliffe plays FBI agent Nate Foster, an idealistic analyst charged with the unenviable task of infiltrating a white supremacist group. The fresh trailer for the Daniel Ragussis film paints it as an intense crime thriller, one that pits Radcliffe’s character’s morality and inexperience against the cruel tactics of the dirty bomb-making terrorists.
The film, based on the real life experience of former FBI agent and whistleblower Michael German, also stars Toni Collette, Burn Gorman, and Nester Carbonell. Ragussis also penned the script for the movie, which sees release on August 19th.
