Global Citizen Festival brings together epic lineup in the name of charity

Kendrick Lamar, Eddie Vedder, Metallica, Chris Martin, and more to play New York City concert this September

    Global Citizen Festival is an annual charity organized by the Global Poverty Project, with the aim of bringing attention to worldwide poverty. This year’s installment, set for Saturday, September 24th in New York’s Central Park, boasts a particularly impressive lineup headlined by Kendrick Lamar, Metallica, and Rihanna, along with special guest appearances from Eddie Vedder, Chris Martin, and Yusuf Islam, a.k.a. Cat Stevens.

    Also taking the stage will be Major Lazer, Usher, Ellie Goulding, Selena Gomez, and Yandel, with more acts still to be announced.

    Tickets to the event are free, but can only be obtained by performing various charitable actions such as tweeting and emailing politicians or signing petitions. Click here for more info.
