Toronto-based singing group Choir! Choir! Choir! have had a busy year, filled with choral tributes to musicians both alive (Neil Young) and recently deceased (Prince, David Bowie). But the singers may have outdone themselves during the Luminato Festival in Toronto. As Toronto Life reports, leaders Nobu Adilman and Daveed Goldman invited crooner-songwrighter Rufus Wainwright to lead a special rendition of Leonard Cohen’s “Hallelujah” in the Hearn Generating Station, a massive decommissioned electrical generating station in Toronto.
