Since the departure of Blink-182 frontman Tom DeLonge (due to his interfering passion for UFOs) the remaining San Diego punk rockers regrouped — with the addition of Alkaline Trio’s Matt Skiba —announced a new album, and planned a summer tour in support. California technically follows 2013’s utterly disappointing EP Dogs Eating Dogsthough considering the reformation of the band, this latest release is really the start of something entirely new. The record was produced by John Feldmann (Goldfinger), who said the product is “one of the best records I’ve ever made in my life.”
