After years struggling to maintain an active festival scene, New York City has finally become a viable music festival destination. As proof of the turning tides, the inaugural Panorama Music Festival will debut on Randall’s Island next weekend, July 22nd-24th.
Not only does this mean NYC is getting a brand new event, it’s also getting one of the best lineups of the season. Arcade Fire, Kendrick Lamar, and the city’s own LCD Soundsystem top a bill that also includes Alabama Shakes, The National, Sufjan Stevens, Sia, Major Lazer, ASAP Rocky, Kurt Vile & the Violators, Run the Jewels, FKA twigs, ScHoolboy Q, Broken Social Scene, Anderson .Paak and the Free Nationals, Flatbush Zombies, Grace Potter, Nathaniel Rateliff and the Night Sweats, and many more.
