In just the last two years alone, Diplo has hit the studio with A-listers from across all genres, including Justin Bieber, Frank Ocean, Sia, Vampire Weekend’s Ezra Koenig, Madonna, and Usher. Next week, he’ll link up for yet another collaboration, and with someone he knows quite well: M.I.A.

The superstar DJ/producer and M.I.A. are joining forces for a new single called “Bird Song”, presumably off the former’s upcoming album, AIM. It will mark the first time they have worked together since her third album, 2010’s Maya, and suggests the two have made amends since their tumultuous breakup.

The two were linked romantically and musically for about five years, beginning in 2008, but their nasty falling out drew (and still draws) much public attention — both were spotted exchanging bad blood on Twitter and in Rolling Stone as recently as April 2015.

According to a series of tweets from M.I.A., “Bird Song” (due out August 12th) was co-produced by Blaqstarr, who just lent their talents to her “Go Off” single last month.
