Last week, M.I.A. previewed her upcoming album, AIM, with the Blaqstarr-produced “Bird Song”. Now, after a little hiccup with label Interscope, she’s back today with a new version of the track, helmed by superstar DJ/producer Diplo.

Not unlike the material from Diplo’s Major Lazer project, this latest iteration swings and sways with a distinct dancehall swagger. It marks M.I.A. and Diplo’s first collaboration in years; the two artists, who once dated, recently made amends following a long and nasty falling out. Both versions of the song are expected to appear on the new LP. Check it out above.

AIM, the follow-up to 2013’s Matangi, arrives September 9th. Find the artwork and newly unveiled tracklist below. In addition to Blaqstarr and Diplo, the album features former One Direction member Zayn Malik.
