Sad news, replicants: Much like Ridley Scott, Vangelis is not returning to the Blade Runner sequel. Instead, director Denis Villeneuve has called up his Prisoners and Sicario collaborator Jóhann Jóhannsson.

The two-time Oscar nominee recently dipped his feet in the sci-fi pool with Villenueve’s forthcoming epic, Arrival. So, fans shouldn’t be too disappointed in the news. Still, it’s a shame the Greek composer couldn’t return.

Blade Runner 2 is shaping up to be the most star-studded event of the past decade, what with Harrison Ford, Ryan Gosling, Robin Wright, Dave Bautista, Ana de Armas, Sylvia Hoeks, Carla Juri, Mackenzie Davis, Barkhad Abdi, and Jared Leto on board.

The Roger Deakins-lensed sequel hits theaters October 6th, 2017.
