Kanye West kicked off his North American tour behind The Life of Pablo at Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Indiana on Thursday night. Our full report is forthcoming, but a few things to note off the bat: Kanye performed from an elevated stage that literally floated above the audience; he was forced to pause “Blood on the Leaves” because people were trying to grab the stage; and a full blown mosh pit broke out during “Freestyle 4”. Update: Read our full report of the show here.
As for the setlist, it stretched 31 songs and leaned heavily on material from Pablo, including “Father Stretch My Hands Pt. 1”, “Famous”, “Feedback”, “FML”, and “30 Hours”. He even spit the “I Love Kanye” freestyle, and closed his show with “Fade”. Among the other notable setlist inclusions: covers of Drake’s “Pop Style” and ScHoolboy Q’s “THat Part”, Devil in a New Dress” from My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, and “Blood on the Leaves” into “Jesus Walks”.
