On November 11th, Sleigh Bells return with their first album in three years, Jessica Rabbit. Their fourth LP, and follow-up to 2013’s Bitter Rivals, is previewed this week with the thrashing opening track, “It’s Just Us Now”, as well its accompanying music video.
Directed by the band’s own Derek Miller, the clip opens with an all-caps message reading, “AS FAR BACK AS I CAN REMEMBER, I ALWAYS WANTED TO BUILD A FIRE.” It then quickly pans to Alexis Krauss, who is sobbing, mascara streaming down her face, in a swimming pool. Later, she can be seen running away from an unknown threat, while a bandana-wearing Miller rocks out in a graveyard. Though pretty vague, the visual’s still a fairly eerie and intense watch.
