The Strokes’ Nick Valensi’s new band, CRX, announce Josh Homme-produced debut LP

Members of The Dose, Guards, and The Reflections join in for New Skin

The Strokes guitarist Nick Valensi has launched a new band called CRX. With Valensi at the head, the project features keyboardist Richie James Follin (of Guards and Willowz), drummer Ralph Alexander (of The Dose), bassist Jon Safley (of The Reflections), and guitarist Darian Zahedi. Today, the group has announced their debut album, New Skin.

Due out October 28th via Columbia Records, the LP was produced by Queens of the Stone Age’s Josh Homme, his first time taking such a role since Iggy Pop’s Post Pop DepressionThe album was mixed by Andrew Scheps, who’s previously worked with Johnny Cash, Green Day, and Adele.

CRX will preview the material with a short string of US tour dates this September, including a trio of shows with Beck. Find their complete itinerary ahead underneath the New Skin album art and tracklist.
