Vince Staples has spent the last few months linking up with a variety of artists, including James Blake (“Timeless”), Flume (“Smoke & Retribution”), and Clams Casino (“All Nite”). This week, the Long Beach rapper is turning the focus back on his own solo material as he hears up for Friday’s release of Prima Donna EP. In anticipation, he’s unveiled a new, much longer version of “’06” from his impressive 2015 debut, Summertime ’06.
The cut is part of Adult Swim’s Singles series, which previously featured Against Me!’s “Haunting, Haunted Haunts”, Protomartyr’s “Born to Be Wine”, and Sannhet’s “Short Life.
