It’s no secret that music runs in the Cuomo family — Frank Cuomo, father to Weezer frontman Rivers, is a respected jazz percussionist who played in a band known as the Weather Report in the ‘60s. Frank was able to dust off some of his drumming chops at a Weezer show in Irvine, California, when Rivers brought his pops out to perform hit single “Beverly Hills”. As the band noted on their Instagram, Frank’s percussion “brought a fine flavor to ‘Beverly Hills’, layering up sweetly over Pat’s massive backbeats.” Check out footage of the performance below.

As Pitchfork notes, this isn’t the first time Weezer have brought out family members to lend a hand on stage. Earlier on the tour, Cuomo invited his daughter Mia to bang on some keys during “Perfect Situation”.
Apparently Cuomo’s immediate family members really have a thing for the songs of Make Believe.
