You just never know quite what to expect from Action Bronson. Even the most astrologically attuned soothsayer probably couldn’t have predicted he’d parlay his food travel show Fuck, That’s Delicious into a show where he gets high with friends and watches Ancient Aliens. But Traveling The Stars: Action Bronson and Friends Watch Ancient Aliens exists and now it has a by-the-numbers boom-bap theme song courtesy of Bam Bam himself.
“Descendant Of The Stars” lets Bronson stunt over a juke joint piano with atypical boasts that just are perfectly on-brand for Bronsolino. A line like, “I did an interview for GQ while taking a shit” would stand out from anyone else, but delivered in Bronson’s trademark yawp it sounds like the same good ol’ Bronson — more of the same, all of it great. Check it out above.
The snap back to form comes on the heels of his odd collaboration with The Black Keys’ Dan Auerbach for the Suicide Squad soundtrack; it’s good to see him back on it.
