Watching the Stranger Things kids cover songs has become as much of a cultural phenomenon as the Netflix series itself. Whether it’s Millie Bobby Brown proving her rap chops or Gaten Matarazzo reminding everyone that he came up on Broadway, it seems every day comes with a new musical delight from the young stars. The biggest delight of them all came during the Emmys’ pre-show on Sunday evening, when Matarazzo, Brown, and Caleb McLaughlin treated the the stars packed into LA’s Microsoft Theater to a cover of Bruno Mars’ smash “Uptown Funk”.
Unfortunately, the performance wasn’t part of the broadcast, but even as folks milled around the venue to their seats, some were keen enough to capture footage. You can check out some of the choreographed clips above and below. Update: Netflix has shared professional shot footage of the performance! Watch below.
That wasn’t the only time the trio treated the crowd, either. Because these award ceremonies are often gruelingly long, host Jimmy Kimmel had his mum whip up some PB&J sandwiches to tide over the audience. The Stranger Things kids hopped on their trusty bikes to help hand them out, as you can see below.
