Vince Staples performs “Smile” with The Roots on Fallon — watch

Vince Staples has been on a hot streak the last couple of weeks, what with the release of his well-received Prima Donna EP and the announcement of his tour with James Blake. The Long Beach rapper kept the good times rolling Wednesday evening, appearing on The Tonight Show to let loose EP highlight “Smile”. Doused in flickering green hues and backed mightily by The Roots, a pensive Staples stood by his mic stand for the entirety of the performance, a quiet intensity radiating from within.
