No matter who wins the upcoming election, it’s safe to say they won’t be throwing holiday parties as lit as Barack Obama’s. None other than Chicago hip-hop star Chance the Rapper has been confirmed to perform at this year’s annual National Christmas Tree Lightning, held at the White House on December 1st. Chance will be joined by Kelly Clarkson and gospel singer Yolanda Adams, but we all know who President Obama is most excited to see. As you may recall, he threw “Acid Rain” on his summer playlist a few months back, and also invited Chance to his birthday party.

Tickets are obviously a hot commodity for the annual holiday event, and a free ticket lottery for the general public will begin on October 7th. While you’re waiting to snag some tickets, read up on our coverage of Chance’s Magnificent Coloring Day, held last weekend in Chicago.
