The first season of Stranger Things left a few loose ends, most notably the fate of Eleven. However, if Millie Bobby Brown’s latest Instagram post is any indication, the 12-year-old Nicki Minaj-rapping Amy Winehouse-loving child star will return in some capacity.
The post featured a photo of Brown with David Harbour (police chief Jim Hopper) along with the caption, “Shhhhh @dkharbour don’t say a word! #s02 #strangerthings @netflix @strangerthingstv.”
For their part, Stranger Things creators the Duffer Brothers have kept many details close to the vest, though they have confirmed the return of three principal cast members: Mike (Finn Wolfhard), Joyce (Winona Ryder), and Dustin (Gaten Matarazzo). They’ve also cast two new roles, Sadie Sink and Dacre Montgomery, who will play step-siblings named Max and Billy, respectively. Meanwhile, Joe Keery (Steve, son of Jean-Ralphio) and Noah Schnapp (Will) have been promoted to series regulars.
The nine-episode run of season 2 is expected to debut in 2017.
