Rush’s 2014 farewell tour, R40, is getting the documentary treatment. Time Stand Still — narrated by Rush mega-fan Paul Rudd — follows the band as they wrap up their final world tour. However, fans of the band will only have one night to catch the film in theaters.
On November 3rd, the Rush doc will premiere in 430 theaters across the U.S. and Canada courtesy of Fathom Events. If seeing it real big isn’t enough of a draw, fans in the theaters will be treated to exclusive features like “Rush: A Salute to Kings.” The 20-minute featurette is an in-depth discussion about the importance of Rush with Gene Simmons, Chad Smith of Red Hot Chili Peppers, Taylor Hawkins of Foo Fighters and Ann and Nancy Wilson from Heart, among others.
Tickets to the show are available at Fathom Events, but those who’d rather stay home can purchase the new doc when it drops on DVD and Blu-Ray November 18th. In the interim, watch the trailer above.https://youtu.be/VXlu5GDlY-s
