While visiting Z100’s studios in New York last month, Alessia Cara put her own acoustic spin on Frank Ocean’s Blonde cut “Ivy”. Now, during an appearance on Annie Mac’s BBC Radio 1 show, the R&B/pop singer unveiled another Ocean cover, this time of the Earl Sweatshirt-featuring “Super Rich Kids”, off his Grammy-winning Channel Orange LP.
“I really love Frank. He makes visual lyrics,” she told Line of Best Fit earlier this year. “His songs are all visual.” Elsewhere in the session, Cara performed “Scars to Your Beautiful” and “River of Tears”, both off her debut album, Know-It-All.
Check out the full session below (the Ocean cover is at the 22:09 mark).
