The 2016 Soul Train Awards aired last night on BET. Beyoncé and Chance the Rapper were some of the evening’s biggest winners, nabbing accolades for Album of the Year and Best New Artist, respectively. The ceremony also featured a handful of performances, including a collaborative affair between D.R.A.M. and Erykah Badu.
Seated on a cozy couch, facing one another intimately, Badu and D.R.A.M. performed their sultry joint track “WiFi”. The two sold their chemistry so well — at one point D.R.A.M. scoots up real, real close to woo Badu — we nearly forgot the whole thing was staged as part of an awards show.
Replay it below.
“WiFi” is off D.R.A.M.’s acclaimed debut album, Big Baby D.R.A.M.. The Virginia rapper/singer also has a collaboration with Neil Young in the works.
