Justice and Susan Sarandon ride into the sunset in new video for “Fire” — watch

In continued support of the band's third album, Woman

Judging by the 65-degree weather we’re having here in New York City, summer still hasn’t fully left us. That’s exactly how French duo Justice seem to like it, though, according to their sunny and free-spirited new music video for “Fire”.

Helmed by director Pascal Teixeira, it finds Gaspard Augé and Xavier de Rosnay washing and fixing up an old car in the sweaty heat. Later, the two invite an additional passenger for their ride into the sunset, and it’s none other than actress Susan Sarandon, who dances about and takes the wheel Thelma and Louise-style.

Teixeira offered up a statement on how the fun and stylish clip came to be:

“On a hot summer afternoon, Gaspard and I were in Xavier’s kitchen, collectively daydreaming about washing a car. The year we like for car design, the make, where that could take place, how much soap, the mood, the sun, and there should be a woman to go cruising with, an iconic mix of cool, allure and strength. Susan Sarandon of course!

And then a couple months later we’re in the desert, with the car and a lot of soap, and by some weird miracle there she is, even more amazing than we had fantasised her to be, ready to go for a drive.”

Watch it up above. “Fire” is taken from Justice’s latest album, Woman.
