After starring in tentpoles like Suicide Squad and The Legend of Tarzan, Margot Robbie had built a strong relationship with Warner Bros. The actress and the company literally sealed the deal when the former’s LuckyChap Entertainment signed a first-look agreement with the latter in September. Today, the first picture to come out of the deal has officially been announced.
LuckyChap will produce an adaption of Gin Phillips’ novel Beautiful Things alongside Denise Di Novie (The Best of Me, Focus) and Alison Greenspan. WB picked up the rights to the thriller, which centers around a woman and her son as they spend three hours trapped in a zoo with a crazed gunman.
It’s not currently clear if Robbie herself will star in the feature. Di Novi is also making her directorial debut with the Rosario Dawson and Katherine Heigl-starring Unforgettable, and it’s not inconceivable that she’ll helm Beautiful Things as well.
