Metallica were in London last Friday to celebrate the release of their 11th studio album, Hardwired… to Self-Destruct, and a small group of fans got to join them in the festivities. The metal legends took the stage at House of Vans London for one of their most intimate shows in years, playing in front of those lucky few who were able to score tickets to the 600-capacity venue.

In typical Metallica fashion, the show stretched on for longer than two hours and included material culled from their entire career, from 1983’s Kill ‘Em All through Hardwired. After opening the set with their perennially classic cover of Budgie’s “Breadfan”, James Hetfield and co. showed that they haven’t lost any brutality in their old age, diving into new cuts like “Moth Into Flame”, “Atlas, Rise!”, and “Hardwired”.

Video of the performance will remain online for one week. Check it out below (the show starts around the 17:15 mark), and see how many of our Top 20 Metallica Songs found their way into the setlist.
