In September, Metallica appeared on The Tonight Show in support of their forthcoming album, Hardwired…To Self-Destruct. Along with a proper performance of their new single “Moth to Flame”, they dusted off “Enter Sandman” with The Roots and host Jimmy Fallon using nothing but toy instruments. Footage of the latter has finally surfaced and, well, it’s both kick-ass and cute. Tapping into their inner child, James Hetfield and Lars Ulrich seemed to enjoy themselves quite a bit; I wouldn’t be surprised if those toys ended up on their Christmas wish lists.
