Nas and Run the Jewels ring in the holidays with ugly hip-hop Christmas sweaters

Rap icons say "Happy Holidays" in the most hideous way possible

What better way to end an ugly year than with an ugly Christmas sweater? That seems to be the logic behind new offerings from hip-hop artists Nas and Run the Jewels, who are getting into the holiday spirit by offering some seasonally appropriate sweaters that blur the line between hideous and hilarious. First up is Nas’s creation, which depicts the rapper as a kneeling Santa Claus posed between a pair of decorative raised fists. Ostensibly a tribute to Colin Kaepernick’s much-publicized protest of the National Anthem, the sweater is now available on the website for Nas’s clothing line HSTRY. It’s selling for $45 and a portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Center for Court Innovation, “a non-profit that seeks to help create a more effective and humane justice system, reducing both crime and incarceration.” Check out the various color combinations below.

Not to be outdone, Run the Jewels have released their own version of a hip-hop Christmas sweater, which follows up last year’s equally hideous version. “BEHOLD THE MORONIC GLORY OF THE 2016 RTJ CHRISTMAS ‘SWEATER’ SWEATSHIRT,” El-P wrote on Twitter, throwing a bit of shade on his own “Run the Yules” creation. The sweater is currently available on RTJ’s offical website for $55; a t-shirt version can be had for $28. Check out the design below.
