Dave Rosser, a longtime member of The Afghan Whigs, The Twilight Singers, and Gutter Twins, has been diagnosed with inoperable colon cancer.
Next month, The Afghan Whigs will play a pair of benefit concerts, with proceeds going towards Rosser’s medical costs. Each show will feature a full performance of the band’s classic album, Black Love, along with special guests.
The first date, set for December 10th in New Orleans, also features Mark Lanegan and Ani DiFranco. The second, scheduled for December 14th in Los Angeles, promises sets from Lanegan, Moby, and Carina Round. Proceeds from the shows will go towards Rosser’s medical benefits.
Update: A third beneift concert has been scheduled for December 13th. The lineup features Eagles Of Death Metal, Josh Homme, The Gutter Twins, Duff McKagan, and other special guests.
