On January 13th, Wayne Coyne will celebrate his 56th birthday by releasing The Flaming Lips’ 16th studio album, Oczy Mlody. Already we’ve heard and seen the video for its lead single, “The Castle”, and now they’re back with a second drag off the album in “How??”.
As expected, it’s a very psychedelic slice of alternative rock, but it also sounds strangely like “Welcome to the Machine” off Pink Floyd’s exceptional 1975 album, Wish You Were Here. Much like that song, it’s a trip to the outer rim, which is what anyone living in 2016 needs right now. Watch its surreal music video below.
