The Pretenders and Dan Auerbach dish out some “Holy Commotion” on Colbert — watch

In support of new album Alone, which was produced by The Black Keys rocker

Alone is Chrissie Hynde’s first Pretenders album in eight years. Released last month, the well-received record was produced by Dan Auerbach of The Black Keys and The Arcs. For The Pretenders’ performance on The Late Show last night, Hynde again called on Auerbach for assistance, resulting in a rockin’ run-through of LP track “Holy Commotion”. Whether they were manning their guitars side by side or hollering into the same mic, it was clear the two had struck a creative chemistry.
