Recently, Vince Staples aired the inaugural episode of his new Beats 1 show, “SEABS” (an acronym for “Section Eight Arthouse Broadcast System”). The Long Beach rapper is back this week with another bit of news: A fresh batch of 2017 tour dates inspired by Wes Anderson’s 2004 comedy The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou.
In support of his latest Prima Donna EP (which features ASAP Rocky and James Blake), Staples will make his way across North America from late February through early April on The Life Aquatic Tour. Seattle, Nashville, Chicago, Montreal, Philadelphia, and Dallas are just a few of the many cities included on the MC’s itinerary. Brooklyn singer Kilo Kish will serve as opener throughout jaunt.
