At the Drive-In have returned with a brand new song called “Governed by Contagions”. According to its YouTube description, the track is taken from a forthcoming album produced by ORL (the band’s own Omar Rodríguez-López) and Rich Costey, known for his work with Fiona Apple and Muse. The as-yet-untitled LP would mark the long, long-awaited follow-up to 2000’s Relationship of Command.
“Portrait of a family, force fed through tunnel straws, singing cannibal hymns of the bourgeoisie,” the track begins, its opening line ushered in by wiry guitars and the thrash of explosive drums. Stream it up above via its accompanying lyric video.
