Earlier this month, Bill Murray swung by the White House to play a friendly round of golf with President Obama. It looks like the actor/comedian will soon be able to host putting sessions on his own turf — that is, at his very own new Caddyshack-themed bar in Chicago.
Murray, along with brothers Andy, Ed, Brian, Joel, and John, are planning to open a golf-focused sports bar inside of the Crowne Plaza hotel in Rosemont, just about 10 miles away from where the siblings grew up. According to the Daily Herald (via TMZ), the Murrays have already entered into a verbal agreement to occupy an 11,000-square-foot space.
No word on whether the Caddyshack greenskeeper will bartend or hand out free drinks to Cubs fans at said watering hole, but ya never really know with Bill these days.
Back in 2001, Carl Spackler Bill and his brothers opened up a similarly themed restaurant/bar at the World Golf Village in St. Augustine, Florida.
