Celine Dion dumps Donald Trump inauguration offer

Meanwhile, the Beach Boys are "considering" an invitation to perform

With every passing day, the prospective list of performers for Donald Trump’s inauguration ceremony grows smaller and sadder. This week alone has seen KISS “politely decline” to play and the rescinding of an offer to Italian operatic star Andrea Bocelli.

Now, according to TheWrap, pop legend Celine Dion has also turned down The Donald. Sources close to the situation told TheWrap that Steve Wynn, famed hotelier and Trump buddy, guaranteed to nab the Canadian titan for the big event, but ultimately failed. Dion hadn’t publicly supported any candidate in the past election, but one of her songs was chosen to be the anthem for Hillary Clinton’s 2008 presidential campaign.

In related news, The Beach Boys confirmed to Billboard that they’d been asked to perform at the January 20th inauguration, but have not yet made a decision. Trump’s camp, meanwhile, has reportedly brought on new talent recruiters to help salvage what might possibly be a Kid Rock-headlined ceremony. God help us all.
