Perhaps no one person’s star has risen more in 2016 than Donald Glover. His hit FX show Atlanta earned him a Golden Globe nomination and parlayed into a starring role in Disney’s forthcoming Han Solo anthology film for which he’ll be playing Lando Calrissian. Along the way, he recorded a new album as Childish Gambino, “Awaken, My Love!”, which proved to be his most commercially and critically successful release to date. On Wednesday night, Glover promoted the album with an appearance on The Tonight Show. He performed “Redbone” with the accompaniment of a full band, backing singers, and a grid of lasers illuminating the background. Catch the replay above.
