There are few things more Twin Peaks than watching David Lynch eat a donut.
In the latest teaser for Showtime’s forthcoming revival, the auteur returns as FBI Regional Bureau Chief Gordon Cole. Oddly enough, he doesn’t say a word — quite a marvel for the vivacious character — because he’s too busy chowing down on a glazed donut.
It’s a simple, delightful treat and a pleasant reminder that, yes, 2017 is right around the corner and, yes, that means we’ll soon be returning to our favorite gloomy small town. Of course, there’s still no release date, so who knows when we’ll be invited back.
