Yesterday, Dinosaur Jr. announced a 2017 world tour in support of their latest release, Give a Glimpse of What Yer Not. Last night, they previewed the kind of skull-blistering alternative rock they’ll be bringing back on the road come next year with an appearance on Conan.
J. Mascis and the boys delivered a scorching rendition of “Goin’ Down”, complete with a surprise appearance by an electric mandolin right near the end. (Spoiler alert?) So impressed by the ripper performance was O’Brien, that he asked Mascis to leave his guitar after the show. Check out the replay above.
