Earlier this week, DJ Khaled swung by the Late Show with Stephen Colbert to talk about his new book, The Keys. The newly Grammy-nominated producer continued to make the late-night rounds on Thursday, this time appearing on The Daily Show.
Speaking to host Trevor Noah, DJ Khaled revealed the source of all his contagious positivity (“God is the master key, we should always give thanks”) as well as explained the story behind some of his viral catchphrases (“Another one” means “another great situation”). The radiant beatsmith also discussed Get Schooled, a nonprofit program that he champions and whose mission is to help teach the youth the importance of education.
An extended version of the interview also featured DJ Khaled promoting a cocoa butter brand that deflects negative energy (lol) and giving Noah pointers on his own catchphrases (spoiler: none are as good as #BlessUp).
Check it out below. His latest star-studded album, Major Key, is out now.
