DOOM and Madlib revive Madvillain for new song “Avalanche” — listen

The superduo reveal the complete version of a track that dates back some six years

Late last year, DOOM reactivated DOOMSTARKS, his elusive superduo venture with Ghostface Killah. Now, the elusive British musician is revisiting another one of his long-dormant collaborative projects, the Madlib-featuring Madvillain.

The two have reunited to share a new song called “Avalanche”. Snippets of the track were debuted during a Stones Throw Records mixtape back in 2011, but today marks the first time the full version has seen official release. Stream it down below.

The unveiling of “Avalanche” coincides with the release of a new Madvillain action figure; check it out here. Previously, DOOM and Madlib appeared on the same track, “Knock Knock”, taken from Madlib, Blu, and MED’s 2015 joint album (though not under the Madvillain moniker).
