More than 30 years later, and Green Day are still finding ways to give their fans unique live performances. This month alone saw them deliver their first-ever daytime TV appearance on Ellen, followed by an intimate Bay Area set to benefit the victims of the Ghost Ship fire.
In continued support of new album Revolution Radio, Billie Joe Armstrong — and only the frontman — appeared on Wednesday’s episode of Conan to perform closing cut “Ordinary World”. It was a moving and special acoustic affair, and a purposely low-key one as Armstrong went without his usual makeup.
