Like many artists, Guns N’ Roses have been vocal about their unhappiness with Donald Trump’s presidential election win. Axl Rose blasted Trump’s choice for attorney general, Jeff Sessions, via Twitter. The eccentric frontman also told the president-elect to “stop whining” and “get on with it or get out of the kitchen” after Trump asked for an apology in the wake of Vice President-elect Mike Pence’s so-called harassment by Hamilton cast, who simply delivered a plea for tolerance.
The reunited metal legends recently took their protest on stage at a performance in Mexico City, where they hung a Donald Trump piñata overhead and invited fans on stage to take out their frustrations. “Express yourself however you feel,” Rose said, as the crowd cheered “Puto” while the cathartic event occurred.
Watch the piñata being smashed to pieces below, along with a November performance of “Civil War” when Axl changed a line to “”Look at the fear that Trump is feeding.”
