Lady Gaga premieres new video for “Million Reasons” — watch

A continuation of the pop star's "Perfect Illusion" clip

Last month, Lady Gaga performed her country-tinged Joanne single “Million Reasons” at the American Music Awards, accompanied by little more than her guitar, leather jacket, and a star-filled sky. Now, she’s released its official music video, and it features the pop star working in a similarly low-key setting, backstage at a show and the same barren desert seen in her “Perfect Illusion” clip.

While today’s offering is meant to be a continuation of that visual, it — like the “Million Reasons” song itself — is decidedly more of a soul-searching meditation than rowdy all-night party. Lady Gaga can be seen staring quietly at her own reflection, sobbing in the arms of friends, and crooning to an empty room while donning an all-pink outfit.

Watch it up above.
