Before it was even done filming, Michael Bay’s latest Transformers film was already causing outrage. The director draped Winston Churchill’s birthplace in Nazi flags, though he tried to assuage angry Brits by saying the beloved Prime Minister “is [the movie’s] big hero … Churchill would be smiling.” Well, now that the first trailer for Transformers: The Last Knight has arrived, people can start being outraged for the real crime: That Bay got to make another Transformers film.
Thankfully, this is said to be the final Transformers movie to be helmed by Bay. It sees him re-teaming with with series stars Mark Wahlberg, Stanley Tucci, John Turturro, Josh Duhamel, and voice actors John Goodman, Ken Watanabe, John DiMaggio, Frank Welker, Jess Harnell and the inimitable Peter Cullen. Newcomers include Laura Haddock, Isabela Moner, the great Anthony Hopkins, and Liam Garrigan as King Arthur. Yes, King Arthur is involved in a Transformers movie, and so is Sir Anthony Hopkins. What a world.
Transformers: The Last Knight arrives June 23rd, 2017.
