Alice Cooper, Deep Purple announce 2017 joint tour dates

Those looking for a boozy nostalgia trip back to the ’70s should love this chunk of news: Alice Cooper, Deep Purple, and The Edgar Winter Band will all tour together in 2017.

The star-studded jaunt will take place during Deep Purple’s Long Goodbye Tour, which will support their forthcoming studio album, Infinite, due out on April 7th via earMUSIC. The current lineup for the English outfit consists of drummer Ian Paice, bassist Roger Glover, vocalist Ian Gillan, guitarist Steve Morse, and keyboardist Don Airey.

Cooper, meanwhile, will be coming off his Spend the Night Tour. As previously reported, the legendary rocker is currently at work on a new studio album that finds him reuniting with his old bandmates. He’ll be touring with guitarists Nita Strauss, Tommy Henriksen, and Ryan Roxie in addition to longtime bassist Chuck Garric and drummer Glen Sobel.
