Donald Glover earns two Golden Globes for Atlanta

Donald Glover was among the big winners at the 2017 Golden Globes. Atlanta, Glover’s surrealist, heady FX series, took home Best Television Series – Musical or Comedy. Glover, who plays Earnest on the show, also earned the Golden for Best Actor – Television Series Musical or Comedy.

Watch Glover’s acceptance speeches below. While accepting the award for Best Television Series, Glover thanked Atlanta rap group Migos “for making ‘Bad and Boujee’.”

Update: Glover showed more love for Migos while speaking with reporters backstage. He called the Atlanta rap group “the Beatles of this generation and I don’t think they get a lot of respect beyond Atlanta.” Regarding “Bad and Boujee”, he added, “There’s no better song to have sex to.”

He was also spotted dancing to Migos during a Golden Globes afterparty.
