It’s going to be a great year for St. Vincent.
Already, she’s designed a new Bowie-inspired guitar for Ernie Ball, and unless she drops her new album between now and February, it looks like she’ll keep the festivities going with a little bloodshed, namely her directorial debut.
As previously reported, the singer-songwriter joined up with directors Karyn Kusama (The Invitation), Roxanne Benjami (Southbound), and Jovanka Vuckovic (The Captured Bird) for Magnet’s forthcoming horror anthology, XX.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LGH-zJ9_uFs
Judging from the film’s trailer above, it looks like horror hounds are in for a treat — after all, who doesn’t love short-form scares — and that indie-rific cast is quite delightful: Natalie Brown, Melanie Lynskey, Breeda Wool, and Christina Kirk.
The film will premiere at this year’s Sundance Film Festival — stay tuned for our review — and will eventually bow in select theaters and Video On-Demand come February 17th. Think of it as a belated Valentine’s Day gift.
